Yes! This course is for anyone from any industry - the methods we teach can be applied successfully across virtually any industry. Here are just a few sample applications. You could forecast commodity, real estate, or equity prices. Or, analyze digital marketing efforts to identify the best sales prospects. Detect fraud if you work in compliance or auditing. In supply chain and operations, build inventory and machine downtime models. You could build a web scraper to track the prices of goods you’re selling on competitive websites. Or, build a chatbot to improve customer service. With geospatial analysis and computer vision you could analyze satellite images and to inform government decision making. And, you could build a working website that puts any of these applications into action - live. All without needing to code.
Yes! In every session, you’ll be working with datasets and applying the techniques we teach to actually build analyses and applications. There are in-class exercises, and assignments after class. You will also have the opportunity to build and present a capstone project that puts what you learn into practice.
Course materials (e.g., slides, files, assignments) are downloadable, so you can keep a copy of these forever. Course videos are not downloadable, but you can access and watch them as many times as you’d like from the session date until 8 weeks after the last class.
A lot of the software are online services that require only an account setup. We will provide detailed instructions for setup. Also, before the first class, we will schedule a live video call in which we will walk through and assist you with any required setup.
A number of the software programs used in the course do have use fees, and you will have to pay these where needed. However, there are a lot of “free trial” opportunities you can use to get started at low cost.

No! This is a no code data science course. You do not need to know how to program. You will not need to learn to program. Instead, you will learn to execute sophisticated high powered data science analyses using no-code applications.
The only specific prerequisite is computer literacy. You do not need to know coding, programming, data science, statistics, or math to participate. If you know how to use a Windows or Mac PC, you can participate in this course. You will be able to harness the power of data science, machine learning, and AI to build data-driven analyses and even websites - all without code.
These sessions provide an additional avenue to get help with the course content. In these sessions, an assistant instructor goes through the homework assignment and course content for the week and you can ask any questions.
Our participants come from across the world, so in every course run we will offer a spread of timings. Regardless of where you are, you will find at least one tutorial that suits your waking hours (we cannot guarantee specific times within the day though).
Yes! You can book our TAs for one-on-one consultation for a nominal fee. This can be to work through the course material, assignments, or help with the capstone project.
In the “live classes” option, you will receive invites to join our real time classes directly on Google Meet. you will get to ask questions, chat with the instructor and other participants, and share your screen to get help or when you have the answers to exercises. Assistant instructors join the session to assist with any issues and to conduct exercises in breakout rooms.
In the “video attendance” option, instead of attending the live real time meeting, participants will watch the recording, which will be shared within 24 hours of the session completion. This provides some flexibility in when the class recording is watched. Everything else is the same.
To be clear, the “video attendance” option includes the small group live tutorials, assistance with setup, access to our community chat channel, homeworks and suggested solutions, the capstone project presentation and two 20-minute sessions to help prepare for the project.
Yes! You will have access to the session recordings for your review, and you will be able to view these as many times as you’d like until 8 weeks after the last class.
We prefer you’d build an individual project. However, if you have specific requirements and are joining the course as a group, let us know and we may be able to accommodate your requests.
The project presentation session is scheduled about 8 weeks after the last class. Participants are encouraged to begin thinking about and beginning preliminary work on the project as soon as possible.
Yes, the course includes two 20-minute one-on-one sessions with the instructors to assist with the project, and can optionally book one-on-one time with our TAs for additional help (at a nominal fee) if needed.
Yes! Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a softcopy PDF certificate recognizing their accomplishment. This certificate is signed by all the instructors.
We are not an accredited educational institution and do not confer degrees or diplomas.
Yes! All participants are invited to our community chat board where they can interact with alumni and current participants. You’ll also be able to network with other participants in the TA sessions, live classes, and project presentations

This is perhaps the most thorough discussion - do review this recent article which highlights how “Data Scientist” has been the number job on Glassdoor for many years running, and there is a projected 28% rise in employment in this field through 2026. (The article also lists some US-based mean salary estimates - but be aware that salaries are constantly rising, so these numbers may now be too low!)

We accept payment via credit card on stripe.com, bank transfer, or Paypal. The course is priced in USD, but we are able to accept payment in a number of other currencies as well.
Yes! For courses starting more than 1 month in the future, we only require a USD 100 deposit to reserve a spot in the course. In general, payments can be divided into to 2 installments if desired.
There are no financial aid programs currently available. If you believe that a government or other assistance program or tax relief program may apply, we are happy to supply relevant documentation to support your claim, but cannot guarantee that our course will be eligible for any particular grant, scheme, or program.
